Spark In The Park!
Note Different Location: Golden Gate Park
Location: AIDS Memorial Grove -- Map + Directions
My beloveds,
Not too far from where you are right now, there is a sanctuary. A sacred space amidst the trees. A gathering place sheltered from the ocean's salty wind. A ring of stones erected for healing, hope, and remembrance. It is called the "Circle of Friends."
I call you there. I call you to return and take my hand beneath the redwoods... or to join me in that quiet grove for the first time. Can you see it?
At the peak of each year, our community gathers here to sing what is in our hearts. I invite you to take a break from the bustle of life and listen with me to the wind and sea.
So come to the park. Come early to frolic and picnic on the grass. Stay on... as the sun begins to sink in the sky and a flute trills somewhere nearby. Walk with me silently down a dusky path to that place where the drums chant blessings.
Spirit is an extending a hand to you, inviting you to dance, enticing the living to fill this place with life. Will you come to the Circle of Friends? Will you come to this grove devoted to healing, hope, and remembrance?
Will you join me for Spark in the Park?
